As part of our growth strategy; we’re really pleased to be opening a brand new Secondary SEMH mixed school in September 2021 in Berkeley, South Gloucestershire with a proposed capacity of 48 pupils.

As an exciting project based in the Science and Technology Park; we’re currently looking for an experienced 1st / 2nd Line Support engineer to provide IT support to our pupils, teachers and support staff on a part time basis (c.2 days /16 hours per week).

We would be happy to discuss some flexibility/variables around this.

Ideally we would be looking for you to start late July / Early August to ensure that everything is ready for the school opening in September.

The Role You’ll be our single point of contact for IT queries and questions for our sites which you will try and to resolve as effectively as possible, escalating the more challenging requests to our Central IT Team.

The role will give you a great opportunity to expand on your existing software, hardware and networking skills with a high level of independence and autonomy.

Experience: Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate: The ability to resolve a range of IT issues across a range of technology (detailed below) A good understanding of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10, Server 2012 R2, Server 2016) and other software applications such as Microsoft Office, Office365, SharePoint, Radius, VLANs, deployment technologies such as MDT and Intune Good knowledge of back-end systems such as network file servers, backup technologies Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, domains, sub-domains Basic knowledge of email archiving and retrieval processes, including email security setup (experience with Barracuda would be useful, though not essential) Knowledge and understanding of network infrastructure i.e.
