Actuarial Pricing Analyst – Secondment, Fixed-term or Permanent (Part-Time, Job-share or Full-Time) opportunity

Location: We’re flexible but the team you’d be joining is based in London or Birmingham

The opportunity:

If so, this could be your next role and we would love to hear from you. The location of this role can be flexible but travel to meet other team members and stakeholders in either our Birmingham or London offices on a regular basis will be required.

As a Pricing Analyst, you will be joining our high performing Commercial P&C team, to help maintain and build on their current high quality and cost-effective service. Your development is important to us so if you are currently studying then we can offer you study support for those professional exams.

This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. We are also open to hearing from candidates looking for secondment, fixed term and permanent opportunities. 

What will you be doing?

Working within the Commercial P&C Pricing team, which focusses on Property, Casualty and Motor lines of business, you will have responsibilities including the following:

  • Calculate pricing for new/renewal business, both on an individual account and portfolio basis
  • Assist in price monitoring, planning, and profitability analyses for defined segments of insurance business
  • Manage pricing models and systems, developing these to deliver process efficiencies and to improve pricing accuracy wherever possible
  • Provide product development and pricing support to the wider business
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture
  • What are we looking for?

  • Educated to degree level
  • Experience gained in an Actuarial role
  • Working towards Actuarial qualifications
  • Excellent knowledge of Actuarial professional guidance
  • Market, risk and business awareness
  • Good knowledge of Insurance products
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • IT Skills – MS Office suite, coding languages highly desirable
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to effectively interact and negotiate at all levels
  • Adaptable, Professional and Positive manner
  • Able to manage and meet deadlines and work under pressure
