Job Description Working in the second-line Compliance function, investigating matches arising from screening of client data against PEP, sanctions and adverse media watchlists Using open source information to complete investigation and resolve matches, and documenting conclusions in a logical and succinct manner Where new risks are identified during investigation, taking appropriate steps to mitigate risks in line with our AML framework (e.g. arranging for enhanced due diligence or management sign-off to take place before the case is accepted) Liaising with operational colleagues to obtain additional information needed to resolve complex cases, or to ensure senior management/Compliance sign-off Producing regular MI on the screening process Assisting Compliance and operational colleagues with AML/KYC queries, as required Participating in Compliance-led financial crime project work, as required
Qualifications Industry experience in AML processes, in particular PEP, sanctions and adverse media screening Creative approach to investigation using a wide range of online sources Use of World-Check screening tool or similar would be a huge advantage, but not essential Good knowledge of legal entities (e.g. trusts, corporates) and how they are structured and controlled Knowledge of Microsoft products, particularly Word and Excel Strong oral/written communication skills Excellent attention to detail and good standards of recordkeeping
