About the role

LV= is currently looking for an Oracle Applications Database Administrator to work closely with our Finance Systems Team. The core purpose of the role is to proactively establish and maintain database deployed products within the business domain encompassing a number of testing (UAT, Integration), disaster recovery and production environments.

The role is responsible for providing input to the technical solution design process Maintaining Data Integrity of databases throughout the development and delivery lifecycle. In addition, you will deliver effective Application Database Administration and Database environment management and maintenance activities such as tablespace management or purging logfiles.

About you

As this is a hands on role, we are looking for an inquisitive individual with proactive approach. You will be ensuring effective Database backup and recovery processes are in place and proven. In addition, you will be responsible for performing upgrades, patch analysis and patch applications. Ideally, you will also be able to demonstrate solid experience of significant data migration exercises and monitoring and advising on system security

When it comes to the technical skills, the key requirements are managing numerous Oracle Applications environments on Linux or Unix, specifically: 

  • Proven technical experience of Oracle 10g Application Server Forms and Reports Configuration within E-Business

  • Proven experience of Oracle 12c databases at both Production and Development/Test Levels

  • Proven technical experience in Oracle OLTP (On-line Transaction Processing) and Data Warehousing environments

  • Experience in all routine DBA tasks including health checks, troubleshooting issues and installations.

  • Experience of using PL/SQL and SQL to develop/tune scripts would be an adavantage.

  • Knowledge of traces and tkprof to identify issues

  • Ability to fine tune the concurrent processing in large EBS environment

  • Install, upgrade, patch and administer the E-Business application and database.

  • Upgrade experience to Oracle EBS 12.2.n versions.

  • Cloning E-Business environments

  • Experience of NetApp Technology for backup/restore

  • Knowledge of OS parameters and settings, UNIX shell scripting,

  • Excellent knowledge of installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.

  • Setup and troubleshoot DMZ setups to E-Business Suite

  • Experience of OEM Grid monitoring tool
