Working within our functions departments, you would be supporting all of our business globally. Your day to day responsibilities will include: Full accounting responsibility for a number of UK-based holding/finance companies. This includes: Maintenance of ledgers, preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments, posting journals in the transactional reporting system (NAV), including transactions in foreign currencies and revaluation of non-GBP assets and liabilities Preparation of monthly reconciliations and completion of evidence of accounting controls, including monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts within reporting entities managed by this role Manage recharges for BT and HMRC duty Production of monthly management accounts reported through the group reporting system (Cognos), for actuals and forecast Preparation of budgets for the same reporting entities. Prepare statutory accounts under FRS101 for a number of Rentokil group entities in CaseWare, including XBRL tagging. Manage the full accounts preparation process, through audit (where applicable) to sign-off. Prepare dormant accounts for the group’s UK dormant entities. Treasury payment approvals. Additional responsibilities as required on an ad hoc basis. Requirements Do you have what it takes? If you wish to be considered for this role you will need: Accounting technician or equivalent experienced accountant with relevant accounting experience. Experience of preparing statutory and management accounts. Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office. Focused on strong internal controls and operating a rigorous daily and monthly reporting process.
