Assistant Accountant part-time

Our client, a well established London Market insurer, seeks an Assistant Accountant to join its Finance department on a part-time basis (3 days a week) for a 6-9 month contract. Main responsibilities will include posting bank entries into SUN GL for multi-currency bank accounts for several entities, preparation of monthly cashbooks for all premiums and claims bank accounts, accruals and prepayments, month end journals, liaising with the Credit Control and Claims teams to resolve queries, and helping the finance team with ad hoc reporting. The successful candidate will be Part-Qualified with strong all round experience in bank reconciliations in multiple currencies, posting general ledger journals, accruals and prepayments. Intermediate Excel skills will be required and Insurance experience is an advantage
