The Peace + Riot Family
Set up by South London parent of two, Caroline Newte Hardie, Peace + Riot is a brand-new concept providing a unique co-working/leisure/hospitality space with childcare on site. Our childcare offer works in the same way a home-help would, except – bonus - you’re not at home. Excellent imaginative, educational activities are provided for the children to engage, education and enrich. Caroline’s 15-year career in Education and Management Consultancy, and 6 years as parent, has given her a great foundation to build the business and concept whilst knowing the market and the demands of our customers. Peace + Riot is there to support new families navigating their way through an ever-changing landscape of demands and expectations.
Our aim is to ensure that kids can have the freedom to be themselves and grown-ups can have the space to work, meet new people, attend events or just to take time out and have a well-deserved break.
We are aiming to open our doors as soon as is practically possible and are now starting the ball rolling looking for a Host Lead to lead a team of Peacekeepers within our child play setting.
The Assistant Childcare Lead is responsible for making the Peace + Riot concept really sing. You will be responsible for the dady to day training/development, support and management of Peace + Riot’s ‘Peace Keepers’. You will report to the General Manager and be responsible for the operational side of our onsite childcare offer.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the environment is a positive, happy and safe one for kids to play and be actively engaged is paramount to the success of this role. We want parents to feel reassured that they can work whilst their children are adequately cared for.
The Person we need

-must love working with kids and have a friendly and approachable manner, with a zest for adventure and fun! You need to have the utmost patience and ensure that the welfare of every child accessing our child play facility matters
-take pride in providing a high level of customer service
It is important you maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and good work ethic at all times. And last but not least, a sense of humour is essential!
Due to working in a child play environment you must be able to provide a clear, current enhanced DBS check.
