Assistant Finance Manager - Full-time or Part-time

We are looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Finance Manager reporting to the Finance Manager, who will be responsible for the accounts relating to our clients Company and also the Managing Director’s associated Charities.

Key tasks:

Handle all aspects of purchase, sales and nominal ledger processes

Produce full monthly and annual management accounts and reports using Sage 50

Complete bank reconciliations Manage cash flow Produce monthly cash forecasts and budgets

Manage foreign currency payments Manage online payments to the UK and Overseas Process Gift Aid donations

Maintain fixed asset register Manage restricted funds Produce VAT returns for one of the charities

Candidates should possess the following:

An accounting qualification or QBE A good working knowledge of Sage 50

An understanding of financial accounting, cash flow and budget forecasting

Experience of Charity accounting would be an advantage

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Intermediate level Excel

Ability to work on own initiative to strict deadlines

Hours of Work: Full-time (35.0 hours) - Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm with a one hour lunch Part-time (28.0 to 30.0 hours) - Monday to Friday - negotiable

Holiday: 31 days per annum including Bank Holidays (pro-rata for part-time)

Salary: Negotiable depending upon experience Pension and Death in Service Schemes available after qualifying period
