Our client is looking for an ambitious, driven Bookkeeper to join them at their new Head Office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growth Global Luxury retailer in their UK finance team. As the Bookkeeper you will be supporting the Finance Manager and play a key role in the accounting department of the company. Not only do you contribute the administrative skills to support the department and keep the office running smoothly, you are the day-to-day face with customers when it comes to dealing with customers accounting issues.

Your Role

  • Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process

  • Process daily sales invoices and send reports to appropriate managers

  • Maintain general ledger and reconcile entries

  • Manage and process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner

  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department.

  • Maintain and manage office administrative expenditure.

  • Maintain, verify and rectify customer balances in accounts receivable records.

  • Check and verify vendor bills before making payment advice.

  • Maintain bank deposits and check payment records.

  • Reconcile bank records with bank statements.

  • Provide accounting and administrative support to external audit teams.

  • Maintains key relationships with customers and internal departments to build knowledge and understanding of customer needs and expectations

  • Assist with research into customer issues (e.g., invoice discrepancies, credit memos, debit memos,

    purchase order issues)

  • Follow up on customer questions including product, credit, pricing, and distribution and service


  • Provide general administrative support for travel, trade shows, expenses, and office

  • Organise and maintain the office system (e.g., filing, order supplies, upkeep of equipment)

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Experience & Skills required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field from an accredited college
  • Minimum of 3-years of relevant experience of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principle
  • Experience with Sage or SAP (Preferred)
  • Experience working with POS systems (Preferred)
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer focused service
