Change Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a third sector organisation, in the search for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a part-time basis.

This role will be integral to the team as you will be responsible for the finance function. You will provide effective financial support to the organisation to ensure that decisions made by the CEO and the Trustees are informed by appropriate financial information.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeper to join a supportive team.

Key responsibilities of the role:
· Preparation of the annual budget and forecasts in cooperation with the CEO and management team
· Manage purchase ledger, ensuring timely payment to all suppliers
· Accurate input of all purchase & payment information to Xero
· Processing of all employee expense claims
· Prepare payroll data, set up payments and manage relationship with external provider
· Assist with quarterly management accounts preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of quarterly expenditure reports, variance analysis and collation of relevant statistical data
· Continued development and improvement of financial processes, controls and reporting
· Maintain records to meet legal and tax requirements and to measure both the inputs and outcomes of the company's operation

Skills and experience required:
· Experience of operating in a similar role, with a strong bookkeeping background
· Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, Y/E and other reports including VAT returns and payroll
· High level understanding of accounting processes and procedures
· Good interpersonal skills with both clear written and verbal skills
· A confident and articulate communicator with excellent presentation skills
· Previous experience of using Xero would be an advantage but not essential
· Ability to be able to develop and improve systems & procedures
· Good working knowledge of Excel
· Ability to work as part of a team and build strong working relationships with a wide range of people
