J32024 – Bookkeeper (Part time)Competitive Salary (Pro-Rata)24 hours per week.Our client based in Cambridge is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their organisation on a permanent part-time basis. The hours for this role will ideally be spread over 5 days, it must include Fridays but they are open to other working times that suit.Duties:Review and enter monthly accruals and prepayments and other necessary journals onto accounting system and prepare trial balance.Customer Credit Control, regularly communicating with customers directly to recover payments as required.Supplier Invoice Payments to be consolidated verified and passed to CLS Accountant for approval for entry to online banking for final payment approval.Check company credit card holder expenses, consolidate all receipts and organise final payment of company credit card balance.Check staff expenses and consolidate all receipts and organise reimbursement.General BankingProduce monthly stock reports and analyse for recommended stock provision working with Warehouse Manager, Sales Order processing and purchasing departments, to minimise the cash tied up in stock whilst at the same time allowing next day delivery to Key Accounts.To match and input supplier invoicesMaintain Fixed Asset Register and update Nominal Ledger accounts monthlyReview bank accounts and produce monthly cash flow statements as required.To create new Production parts by completing a Stock Code Entry Form.Input new parts on IBS and maintain existing parts and purchase costs.Required Skills:Minimum Qualification to AAT Level 3 Advanced Certificate.Proven bookkeeping experience.Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.Ability to work on own initiative and to plan own work.Numerate and knowledge of Microsoft Officesome knowledge of SAGE accounting systems (or similar) would be an advantage.Attention to detailTask oriented with a flexible and willing approach. Company Benefits:20 days holidayLife InsuranceMedical insurance – Staff pay the premiums however, as the client has group insurance this would be relatively cheaper than a standalone policy.Sick pay 10 days after 1 year of service.To apply for this vacancy please contact .Hales Group Ltd collects and keeps information from applicants, so that we can monitor our recruitment process, ensure compliance with the Equal Opportunities policy, and when appropriate send you details of future job opportunities.
