We are looking for a Part Time Bookkeeper/Accountant to work for a very exclusive client based near Bridport in Dorset.
This is a part time role, looking for someone to work 2 days a week, approximately 16 hours. They are open to discuss the days that you can work and they are also looking for someone who may want a few more hours in the future or is flexible to cover for others holiday.
Details of the role:
Provide a day to day bookkeeping function maintaining an up to date nominal ledger for each of the 3 entities
Provide timely monthly management information to facilitate decision making, and discuss those results with the Owner and Agents
Prepare the budgets
Prepare year end accounts and supporting information for the accountants
Carry out the monthly payroll
Prepare and send off the VAT returns
Provide information to the accountants to prepare their financial reports
They are looking for someone who is either AAT qualified or has the equivalent working experience within a similar role. You'll need to be confident working autonomously to prepare accounts on a monthly and yearly basis, be able to carry out a small payroll, prepare VAT returns and be experienced in putting budgets together. Alongside this, they require excellent communication skills, a high degree of confidentiality and good computer skills. Knowledge of quickbooks is advantageous.
