Softwire is looking for an experienced, part-time bookkeeper to work in the accounts department of our growing software development business. The role is ideally suited to an experienced individual looking to return to work after a career break. The role is based in our North London office but offers the possibility for regular homeworking if desired.
Responsibilities may include:
- Customer invoicing and purchase order management
- Credit control
- Credit card receipt handling / coding / posting
- Petty cash management and reconciliation
- Supplier payments
- Expenses payments
- Payroll
- Recording of all day-to-day transactions in accounting software
Skills/qualities required:
- Proven bookkeeping experience and knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Fast and accurate data entry skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software (Sage 50 Accounts ideal but not required)
- Good inter-personal skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, small team environment
