Our client are an established business who are looking for an experienced book-keeper who will also have office management responsibilities.

Ideally Monday - Friday 08.30- 15.30 - but there could be some flexibility on hours. £25000 per annum for 32.5 hour week.

Overview of role and responsibilities

                Finance

  • To operate Sage 50 Accounts competently and produce monthly P&L and management reports

  • To create and run monthly management accounts report

  • Issue sales invoices and record

  • To administer the process for checking and approving and paying purchase invoices received

  • To prepare and present weekly finance meeting for directors

  • To make monthly payroll payments

  • To maintain budget spreadsheet

  • To create Customer Account Statements and send out

  • To produce Aged Debtors list and undertake debtor account management

  • To manage and keep records for the Bought and Sales Ledgers

  • Daily bank reconciliation

  • To make online payments and process incoming payments including preparing bank paying in

  • To collate required information for Accountant for quarterly management and year end accounts

  • Assist with raising monthly rental invoices and maintaining records of shared costs, eg electricity

  • VAT return and make quarterly payments

    Office Admin

  • To look after and record as appropriate the company ISO system and ensure compliance

  • To answer incoming phone calls and in future to assist with taking customer orders

  • To account manage existing clients and existing database of warm prospects with tele-calls (future)

  • To assist with routine office admin tasks as required from time to time (eg covering staff absence)

  • Assist with new staff H&S training where applicable

  • Managing staff holiday entitlement

  • Managing servicing of Intruder Alarm/Fire Alarm/Water/Coffee machines and other such office duties

  • Other various office admin tasks as they arise

    Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Experienced book-keeper, and proficient in the use of Sage 50

  • Computer literate with excellent attention to detail

  • Time management

  • Professional telephone voice and manner
