We are looking for an experienced Team Administrator/Secretary for 3 days a week job share (Wednesday - Friday).  The role is to support the Wholesale team within Enforcement department. You will be working primarily for a Manager within Wholesale and members of that Manager's team

What does the role involve? What are the key responsibilities?  

  • Providing diary management and administrative support for the team and the Department

  • Arranging meetings, preparing papers for meetings including team meetings and Project Board meetings

  • Organising travel and accommodation as required for the team

  • Taking lead responsibility for records management across the team

  • Responsibility for management of shared inboxes

  • Managing additional administrative tasks as required for the team, for example raising POs, preparing presentations, slides and completing paperwork for expenses and external costs

  • Working collaboratively with other business support members to ensure sufficient business support coverage across the department and/or division

  • On-boarding new people and dealing with IS requests

  • Transcribing interviews with subjects and witnesses

  • Reinforce team compliance to FCA business policies, for example abiding by comms policies, business continuity processes and iTime completion and ensure key messages are cascaded to the team

  • Act as a main internal point of contact for the team

  • Attend and contribute to knowledge sharing events and identify opportunities for knowledge sharing

    Skills/Experience Required  

    Minimum

  • Experience providing both administrative and secretarial support to a team within a Finance, Legal or Accountancy setting

  • High standard of written communication

    Required Technical Skills:

  • Excellent IT skills, including sound knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and other similar packages, and able to get up to speed quickly with new systems

  • Previous experience of providing an efficient and effective document management service

  • Excellent spelling, grammar and written language skills

  • Good relationship management skills, both with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritising, working under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy

  • Flexible and willing to take on new tasks and responsibilities and to adapt to change

  • Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders and adapt style accordingly

  • Ability to transcribe

    Enforcement & Market Oversight (EMO) is responsible for the FCA’s responsibilities for market monitoring, delivery of the functions of the UK Listing Authority (UKLA) and the investigation and prosecution of misconduct pursuing and remedying misconduct using the whole spectrum of criminal, civil and administrative sanctions and remedies against firms and individuals.

     EMO - Enforcement

  • Enforcement conducts forensic investigations into suspected misconduct and, where appropriate, pursues and remedies misconduct by firms and individuals through criminal, civil and administrative sanctions and orders including:

  • Bringing criminal prosecutions and seeking penalties to deter misconduct.

  • Applying for civil orders to provide an appropriate degree of protection for consumers.

  • Requiring compensation to redress the consequences of misconduct, where appropriate.
