A prestigious organisation with a great, friendly work culture, and hybrid working to offer is looking to hire a part time lawyer. As part of a small but visible legal team, you will be required to negotiate commercial contracts and deal with competition law matters as well as provide general in-house legal advice. Working for a trade association will mean liaising internally with colleagues in policy and regulation, public affairs and the press office, and externally with law firms. Typical commercial work will include supplier contracts, events contracts and HR related contracts. You will provide support and advice to various committee meetings and identify and mitigate legal risk.
To be considered suitable for this position you should be either a commercial or competition lawyer with at least 2 years' experience. Financial services or insurance industry experience would be a benefit but is not essential. You should be looking for part time work, 2 or 3 days a week ideally.
