Company Bookkeeper - 12 Month Contract full or part time

\n*** FULL OR PART TIME HOURS AVAILABLE - NO LESS THAN 25 HOURS PER WEEK ***\n\nOur client is a successful SME business in the building\/construction sector and due to a forthcoming maternity-leave, they are seeking to employ a full time (40 hours per week) Bookkeeper\/Accounts Assistant, to look after all of the day to day accounting transactions for the business. The office in Banbury is modern and the team are friendly and welcoming.\n\nUsing Sage 50, you'll be logging all supplier and sales invoices, managing debt collection and cash flow, running the monthly staff payroll, reconciling the bank accounts and processing VAT returns. Ideally you will have some previous experience in the construction sector, but that is not a mandatory requirement for this position as a full hand-over will be provided.\n\nKey responsibilities;\n\nEnsuring that all works completed are invoiced\/applied for correctly and promptly\nMonitoring the aged debt and chasing any overdue monies\nDealing with any client queries over the phone and email. This will involve liaising with different departments within the company in order to resolve.\nAccurately entering supplier invoices to the purchase ledger, gaining approval on these and making sure that all approved supplier costs are paid in a timely manner\nMatching of incoming delivery notes to supplier invoices\nRaising queries with suppliers for any discrepancies\nRunning all elements of the monthly payroll for all employed staff\nCollating and paying any subcontractors engaged by the company, ensuring that these have been correctly verified with HMRC for CIS where appropriate\nBank reconciliations and quarterly VAT returns\nWorking alongside the external accountants to complete the year end process \nSkills\/experience required;\n\nExperienced with computerised (ideally Sage) bookkeeping processes in a commercial accounting environment.\nSome experience of processing accounts within the building sector would be ideal (not mandatory)\nAble to commence employment by mid-November at the latest\nExperienced with using spreadsheets (either MS Office or Google Docs)\nFlexible, able to work in a small but busy team and happy to work full time at the Banbury office. \nOur client is looking to hold interviews for this role ASAP, so if you feel that you have the skills and experience that we require and are happy to commit to a 12 month fixed-term contract, then please apply today for a fast response.
