Job Title: Consultant Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Location: London

The role

As a Consultant Software Engineer with experience in developing web-based applications through the whole development life-cycle, you will have the opportunity to work with consultants, engineers and other specialists on a variety of projects using a range of technologies, and support junior developers in both technical and non-technical aspects of their work. You will be an enthusiastic problem solver who isn’t intimidated by the unknown or unexpected, working with other software developers to write the best code for the project.

Requirements:

  • Consistent track record of developing performant web applications

  • Modern JavaScript with React and/or Angular, and related technologies like HTML/CSS

  • Node.js, Express, GraphQL

  • Relational and non-relational Database including PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MongoDB

  • Experience or eagerness to work within a consultancy or agency type environment

Person Attributes

  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbally, and experience in dealing with clients and other project partners outside the technical team.

  • Ability and willingness to work outside existing skillset, and be able to learn new skills and technologies.

  • Passion for learning new technologies with a strong mindfulness of the risks of early adoption

  • Passionate about developing capabilities of the team and contributing to a team culture

  • Experience in supporting junior developers in both technical and non-technical aspects of their work.

Desirable Skills’

  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)

  • Experience working with Azure/AWS

  • Experience working with CI/CD processes

  • Experience with TypeScript

  • Experience of test/behaviour driven development
