  • What will I be doing day-to-day?

    In a nutshell – you will be working within a tight-knit Finance team in a fast paced environment, across a growing Group of 5 software businesses in the Drinks, Supply Chain and Financial Services sectors (across the UK, Ireland and the US).

    Your focus in this newly created role will be on the credit control function of the Group and is specifically targeted towards building internal and external relationships with an emphasis on communication rather than transactional processes. As we are part of a PLC, whilst there is a uniform reporting structure, the diverse makeup of the Group offers great variety in the role.

    In a bit more detail, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the customer relationship through direct communication relating to queries and dispute resolution
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure the prompt collection of debt
  • Publishing aged debt reports on a regular basis across multiple business units and scheduling update meetings to discuss aged accounts
  • Creation of statement runs on a regular cycle with relevant debt letters published as necessary 
  • Adherence to ageing policy and awareness of provision thresholds to ensure compliance
  • Carrying out ad hoc projects and any other reasonable duties as required by Management

    What do I need to be eligible to apply?

    You need:


    One of the following;

  • Possess a recognised Accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA), PLUS 2 years relevant experience in a credit control role 
  • Hold a relevant university degree (or equivalent) PLUS 2 years relevant experience in a credit control role 
  • 3+ years relevant experience in a credit control role
  • AND;

  • Excellent IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of working at pace and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent prioritisation skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience of working on own initiative
  • Currently holds independent right to work in the UK / Ireland
  • It’s not a deal breaker but we would really like it if you also had:

  • Experience of working in a multi-currency environment
  • Experience of working in a multi-company/business unit environment
  • Experience of working in the technology sector
  • Knowledge of software packages such as Great Plains, Blackline, Concur, ConnectWise, etc.
