We are currently recruiting for an experience Credit Controller to work on a part time basis for our client in Markham Vale (Chesterfield)Hours of work:20hrs a week - The successful candidate must be able to work the same hours 5 days a week (Eg: Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm) The hours worked can be down to personal preference and this will be agreed with the individualPay Rate:£24kpa paid on a pro rata basis = £12kpaDuties:• To work within the finance department and provide all necessary support withmanaging aged debt.• To assist with general finance duties as and when required.• To assist the Finance Director/Manager and individual managing directors toall aspects of finance• The general day to day operation of sage accounting systems• To assist the business to deal efficiently as possible with general administrative duties• To handle calls efficiently and promptly and pass to the correct person or take messages• The chase customers for payment and if debt is overdue utilise credit stop/7 day letter/legal to recover debt• Resolve any queries or disputes raised by customer• Record all actions relating to Credit Control i.e. payment promises/disputes, etc.• Produce aged debt reports• Escalate any issued to more senior members of the team• Attend weekly meeting to report on aged debt• To provide shadow cover for other personnel when they are off work• Attendance of in-house training programmes• Maintenance of good housekeeping procedures at all times• Following of Company Procedures at all times• Any other duties as required which fall within the scope of the postSkills & Experience:• Accurate data entry• Be able to take pride in their work• Be able to work in a team but also able to work on own initiative• Be willing and able to learn and develop the role• Be a good communicator - confident communicating both verbally and written• Be organised with good time management skills• Able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks• Able to work to tight deadlines• Experience working with Sage• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel• Be good with numbers• Have a positive and confident approach to the roleTo apply please submit a CV or call Rob on (phone number removed) between 8am - 5pm Monday to FridayThis vacancy is being advertised by Essential Recruitment (an employment agency)
