The role:

The University of Salford is a dynamic organisation whose vision is: “By pioneering exceptional industry partnerships we will lead the way in real-world experiences, preparing students for life.” Student Experience & Support (SES) is responsible for student engagement activities, provision of student support services, which includes the University’s one-stop-shop, askUS, alongside delivery of careers and enterprise services. SES gives students the opportunity to complement their academic learning with a programme of personal growth and support.

We are looking to appoint Disability Adviser (29 hours per week) to join our team at a key time within the sector which is currently going through some exciting changes in order to ensure we offer our students an inclusive student experience. We are driving forward a culture shift from central service responsibility to a whole university responsibility in providing an inclusive student experience. We are fortunate at Salford that we are supported by our Executive in driving forward and embedding inclusive practice. This offers valuable opportunities for us as a service to review our current model and to develop new practices which encourage co-creation of services with our students and co-delivery with professional services and our academic community across the University. Placing the customer at the heart of everything we do is paramount to us.

You should have a strong commitment in ensuring all people have the right to participate in society. If you would relish the opportunity to be part of a progressive thinking team and you are innovative, creative and determined we can’t wait to hear from you.

This vacancy will close at 23:59 on the date specified.

Please note starting salary for this role is £28,331 per annum, pro rata.
