Chapel Arts Studios is a small arts and education charity resident in St Mary’s Chapel, Andover. Originally a project under Test Valley Arts Foundation in 2009, it has since established itself as an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation by working with over 10,000 people and almost 150 organisations, supporting communities, improving the lives of young people through creative education and developing the careers of emerging and established artists. CAS exists to be a centre for contemporary artists and the community. By supporting development and practice, CAS works collaboratively to create a positive artistic, social, and cultural impact across North Hampshire and beyond.
As the Executive Director, you will be completing the Leadership Team. Working in partnership with the Creative and Education Director you will lead CAS into its next phase, establishing itself as a leader in bringing contemporary art to the widest possible audiences. You’ll have significant experience in directing the administration of an organisation, a successful fundraising background and a desire to take CAS out into the world. Previous work in the charity sector would be helpful but isn't essential. This is a new role to the organisation too, so you'll be able to make it your own from the start.
We anticipate the role to be delivered over 2-3 days or 24 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly around the needs of the organisation and your requirements. As with most positions currently, the role can be delivered from home. However, we anticipate in future, that there will need to be some time spent at the Chapel or engaging with stakeholders and attending key events such as press nights.
