The Role


PwC is looking for an Experience Strategist with 3-5 years of agency, relevant client-side (public or private sector), or consultancy experience to join the Client Strategy & Delivery team within PwC’s growing Experience Consulting business. At its core the role will be responsible to shape and deliver client engagements whilst developing new client opportunities. To achieve this, the ideal candidate will: 

  • Have hands-on experience working on Service Design, Experience Strategy, and Experience Design projects and programmes, be comfortable with contemporary strategic frameworks, approaches, methods, and tools, and have experience applying these across a broad range of clients, and sectors, and industries

  • Have a broad appreciation for the skill sets required to Design Transformative Change

  • Have a good understanding of product and service innovation frameworks and methods, and hands-on experience applying them to help clients “Reimagine the Possible” 

  • Have working knowledge knowledge of strategy, design, and experience trends (and digital trends more broadly), and a history of using these to drive and convert meaningful discussions with new and existing clients 

  • Have a proven record in working in client facing roles and establishing strong relationships with client stakeholders

  • Have good experience leading project workstreams in a digital agency, in-house, or consulting setting, with a focus on Customer Experience, Experience Strategy and Design, Transformation, and Innovation

  • Have a strong desire to co-create (with clients and internal teams), and experience facilitating this type of collaboration 

  • Have basic knowledge of agile delivery frameworks and tools (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, Jira & Confluence)

Core Responsibilities & Skills

As an Experience Strategy Consultant, you will need to be able to:

  • Contribute to the crafting and implement strategies designed to bring new products, services and experiences to life, building on PwC’s Experience Consulting methods and frameworks

  • Bring and develop your expertise across strategy, design, experience and technology, across physical and digital environments - in the context of large scale experience-driven transformation projects

  • Be comfortable with and have basic working knowledge of key design disciplines, including Design Thinking, Experience Strategy, Content Strategy, User Experience Design and Service Design

  • Build and nurture client relationships across sectors and industries 

  • Build and nurture relationships within the Firm and across Lines of Service as a champion for, and ambassador of, Experience Consulting

  • Support the preparation and presentation of complex written and verbal materials — particularly for business development and client presentation purposes

  • Use your strong networking, negotiation, and persuasion skills to help identify and convert opportunities 

  • Use your strong organisational skills to help coordinate the resources needed to deliver projects/programmes

  • User your interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues across disciplines as diverse as business strategy, management consulting, and technology, and effectively translate client requirements into outcomes that depend on their combination

  • Be comfortable assisting with the management of internal team resource requirements, project workflows, budgets, billing, and collections (working closely with other delivery team members and wider stakeholders such as Finance, Risk & Marketing)

You love working in high-performing, cross-discipline teams, and you thrive on the challenges that come with large—often complex—transformational projects, with major organisations seeking to solve important problems across sectors. You might be in a Strategist, Planner or Account Manager/Senior Account Executive role in a digital or creative agency and are already working directly with clients and contributing to relationships and pitches.

About your day-to-day:

  • You will work in a diverse team of researchers, experience strategists, designers and co-creation specialists as part of PwC’s Experience Consulting business unit

  • You will be contribute to the designing, scoping and delivering of multi-channel product, service, and experience design and innovation projects for our clients and their employees and customers 

  • You will contribute to project engagements with clients including teams beyond Experience Consulting - across business strategy, management consulting, and technology 

  • You will support business development activities through participation in client proposals and meetings
