Finance Analyst - Centrals - Part-Time

In a nutshell

To provide analysis and support for the Centrals Finance team. The role will report into the Centrals Finance manager and initially will be focused on supporting the periodic reporting process to enable a full end to end process review to be conducted. Beyond this, the role will provide analytical support to the Finance Manager for various strategic and ad-hoc projects.

What you need to do

Take responsibility for the period end processes and reporting for the Central divisions

Support the Centrals Finance Manager with absorption of any processes currently displaced from other Finance teams

Challenge current processes and look for continual ways to improve efficiencies and control

Provide ad-hoc support where needed to the Senior Finance Manager

What you need to know and show

Demonstrable financial analytical skills

Ability to produce financial information in a user friendly and value-add manner

Ability to deal with, reconcile and analyse large volumes of data and identify process improvements

Ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst ensuring accuracy

Core understanding of accounting and reconciliation requirements

Basic understanding of commercials & profitability

Advanced Excel Skills

Studying for an accountancy qualification

Experience in a retail business desirable but not essential
