The role:

The Regatta Group is a family owned company, and we are looking for an ACA qualified Finance Manager to join our Accounts team in our State of the Art Head Offices in Urmston, to help manage all tax/accounting aspects of the family affairs, including matters relating to the pension schemes, property investments and tax matters.

This role can be flexible and has the potential to be a part time position (25 hours per week, Mon – Fri 10-3) or a full time position (37.5 hours per week) with the additional hours working on company finances.

The successful candidate will be ACA qualified and degree educated, ideally in finance, accounting or business.

You will need an Audit or Tax background, with demonstratable technical accounting ability.

The responsibilities in this role will be:

Monthly Reporting

  • Administration of family trusts and pension funds.

  • Tracking family investments and personal cash and charity cash holdings.

  • Submission of VAT and any other tax filings

  • Preparation of adhoc reports as requested

Tax and Compliance

  • Maintain and review all compliance deadlines to ensure that all reporting deadlines are adhered to

  • Generate/ review submissions of tax related requirements for the family

  • Prepare/ review data requested by pension advisors and tax advisors, providing any reconciliations required

  • Liaise with pension regulators and auditors

  • Develop and ensure that we have a high level of scrutiny and checks in place before submission of all external filings. 

Stakeholder engagement

  • Develop a strong working relation with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Internal stakeholders include the CEO, CFO, Retail Director and the wider finance team

  • Liaising with members of the family to provide guidance and insight into the financial affairs of the family
