Finance Manager (Part Time - 15hpw)

Job Description

This role takes responsibility and acts as caretaker for all the aspects of the Holdings & subsidiary companies management accounting and overall financial health.

Overseeing a part time Bookkeeper, responsibilities include:

ACCOUNTING

Preparing management accounts and financial statements for the group and its subsidiaries
Holdings company bookkeeping, payroll and dividends (5 people)
Group expenditure, transferred between subsidiary companies to reflect the proper cost centre
Preparing company reports for outside organisations
Preparation of Year End Accounts ready for External Accountants to complete the tax computations
Create and maintain Fixed Asset Registers for the companies

COSTINGS & BUDGETS

Annual forecasting future income, expenditure and cashflow for the group and its subsidiaries
Monitoring spending and budgets
Oversee costing models and profitability of goods and services
Recommend and help implement ways to reduce costs and increase profits

PERFORMANCE

Company Performance analysis during monthly meeting
Monthly Management Reports for Managers from Xero (Accounting Software)
Monthly Financial Reports for Supervisors from Xero
Bonus scheme monitoring from Xero

BUSINESS

Providing financial perspective to help Directors make business decisions.
Review and set-up finance policies as necessary e.g. Expenses, payment and purchasing level authorities
Securing funding and financing as necessary e.g. Capital Equipment

MANAGE

The Accounts Administrator holiday and sickness cover.
Holdings Company payroll and dividends.
Annual Appraisal for Accounts Administrator
The Accounts Administrator using Xero, oversee company payroll, credit control, bookkeeping systems.

CONTRACTUAL / STATUTORY

Companies House reports and administration.
Shareholders administration.

This is an exciting and pivotal role within the company, advising, managing and forecasting business finance and accounts to ensure the business stability and growth.

This role offers 15 working hours a week, Monday to Friday. Predominantly office based with scope for some home / remote working.

Candidates will need their own vehicle given our rural location.
