Our client is a successful manufacturing business based East of Norwich. They are looking to recruit an accomplished, self motivated Finance Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all financial matters.

As well as monthly and statutory reporting, you will play an active role with operations providing KPI's and insightful information on costs, performance, cash flow, and ROI to ensure commercial decisions are taken to benefit the business and its customers.

The role is for 24 hours per week, and there is flexibility how you undertake this, i.e. three days a week, shorter days for five days etc. As the business grows there is potential, in the medium to long term, for the roll to evolve into more of a full time role.

Key duties:

• Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts including, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, P&L & variance analysis
• Oversee, with the support of an assistant, all bookkeeping
• Management of the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting
• Financial modelling, monitoring cash positions at all times, and providing business partnering to operations
• Develop a set of operational KPI's reviewed on a daily and weekly basis to ensure products are made on time, with the right costs, and without compromising quality
• Manage the year end audit process, with preparation for external auditors
• Work with sales teams setting the right pricing models

The ideal candidate for this role will be a part or fully qualified Accountant. You will have strong systems knowledge and have a track record improving processes and driving efficiencies. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with product costing experience would be an advantage. It is essential that you have a hands on approach, and comfortable presenting information. You will be a problem solver, who can provide solutions making the right decisions.
