12 month contract (maternity cover). £30k pro-rata per annum, part time- 3 days per week (£18k per annum). Free on-site company parking We are currently recruiting a part-time stand alone Finance Manager for a small owner-managed construction business, covering sales and purchase ledger, as well as CIS and VAT returns. Responsibilities: Oversee credit control function and debtors’ ledger Process sales invoices and applications Debtor statements Post receipts and bank cheques Review terms and conditions in customer orders Process p urchase invoices End of month and weekly payment runs CIS verifications and calculation Credit card analysis Upload sales and purchase data to Xero Reconcile and submit quarterly VAT returns through Xero Check PAYE/NICS liabilities Provide wages data for accountants Submit pension payments, update employee records on NEST Undertake credit card analysis Maintain jobsheets Validate HMRC liabilities and liaise General office management Assist managing director and contracts managers when required Receive deliveries and cover office when required Personal skills: Good attention to detail Work unsupervised, manage own time and meet deadlines Full driving licence & own car preferred Construction experience (CIS, retentions etc) preferred Excel & Word skills desirable, e.g. V-Look up, data filtering & manipulation, mailmerges Xero experience desirable, importing CSVs to software This job was originally posted as
