Finance Manager - Part time

My client is an exclusive members club based in Surrey and serving clients in the UK, Europe and the USA.

Due to the imminent retirement of the current FC, my client is looking for someone to take on this role, working 3 days a week but with occasional extra work loads that might stretch the role to 4 days per week as and when this is required. You will supervise an Assistant Accountant and will report direct to the owners/board.

This is a hands-on role for a qualified accountant with an SME background, ideally (but not essentially) with an ACA or ACCA Qualification and some experience in Public Practice. You’ll be used to leading an SME finance function, up to date with your compliance knowledge and flexible in your approach to work. You’ll be confident managing the company’s IT requirements, a confident communicator with the ability to influence decision-making. Key components of this role are management reporting, forecasting and budgeting, cash control, overseeing the management of clean and current ledgers, VAT and Tax issues, managing the annual audit process and the relationship with external advisers, payroll and pension requirements.

The role would suit either someone local to Cobham and looking for part-time work, or a person with one or two small clients looking to expand to full-time hours, but this is an employee role and our client will not consider a contractor looking for a day rate relationship.
