The Finance Manager will oversee the financial management of the organisation through effective budget setting and producing timely financial reports.

The Finance Manager will work closely with both the Senior Management and Corporate Management Teams to provide support and guidance in line with financial policies and procedures.

Role will include The post will work towards the effective delivery of the business development strategy and business plan (alongside the SMT), providing knowledgeable input in order to contribute towards building a sustainable and high performing organisation.

Oversee through line management and support the finance function on a day to day basis.

Provide support to the CEO on the day to day running of the Finance function.

Lead on Budget setting and the Year-end closure of accounts with input from Senior and Corporate Management.

Provide the CEO and Board with timely Financial reporting information for the purpose and Executive Committees.

Completion of Monthly and Quarterly Financial claims for funders.

Will assist in the costing exercises linked to the negotiation of contracts.

Ensure VAT regulations are adhered to, including timely submission via the online portal.

Participate in funding negotiations for opportunities, providing varying financial information as required and working closely with Operational and Management Teams throughout the process.

Maintain high level contact and working relationships with key Funding Bodies and Corporate Partners.

Develop and maintain productive working relationships with the Senior Management Team, managers and other colleagues.

Ensure clarity and consistency of communication and ensure quick resolution of any issues to maintain strong working relationships.

Actively support the Board of Trustees and Senior Management Team to further the aims and objectives of the organisation.

To attend meetings when necessary, in a finance context, to provide support for or on behalf of members of the Corporate Management Team and Senior Management Team.

Undertake any other responsibilities commensurate with the grade and nature of the post.

Profile The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) You will have good financial management skills no desired sector experience, however previous experience of charity/nfp accounts or Public Sector Accounts would be beneficial.
