Finance Manager (Part Time)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for financial forecasts and projections, including profit and loss accounts
• Quarterly / Year end Accounts Preparation
• Fixed asset accounts
• Managing cash flow forecast
• Day to day running of accounts
• All Companies House documentation, and timely submission of information
• Preparing and submitting VAT return
• Manage Asset register
• Working with the Accounts Assistant, who deals with purchase ledger and payroll
• Overseeing of payroll
• Pricing stock
• Working with estimating / project management team to manage procurement budgets
• Manage / raise sales invoicing and applications for payment
• Managing prepayments and accruals

Skills Required:

• An enthusiasm to get to know the business and become part of the team
• Excellent IT Skills, proficient in Excel is a must
• Knowledge of VAT in construction, CIS Scheme, CITB Levy / Grant, Self-billing, Retention, Valuations would be an advantage / a willingness to learn
• Preferable experience in either construction or manufacturing businesses
• Experience of QuickBooks ideal, but not essential
• Ideally you will have experience of working within a SME Business, someone who understands the need to adapt and be flexible within a small team
• Comfortable with prepayments, accruals and fixed assets etc.
• Able to multitask and not be phased by assisting with complex tasks, or the wider needs of a small business - a team player
