Reed Accountancy have exclusively instructed and retained to recruit for a Part Time Finance Manager for our Client based in East Ipswich.
Our client is a firm of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys who have been established for over 30 years. They are seeking a Finance Manager to join them working 3 days a week. This role will report directly into the partners and will be responsible for managing one direct report. This is a really exciting opportunity for an AAT qualified Accountant or Assistant Accountant looking for the next step in their career, or someone looking for part time hours.
Duties will include:
Management of the day to day accounting function including sales, purchase and nominal ledgers.
Bank Reconciliations and managing the firms internet bank accounts
Payroll
Payment of Partner drawings, Tax and Corporation Tax
Accruals and Prepayment journals
Production of monthly management accounts
Credit Control
Bank and control account reconciliation
VAT reconciliation and returns
Monthly suppler payments in multiple currencies
Production of year end accounts information for external accountants
Submission of HMRC returns
Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
Supervision of the Accounts Assistant.
In this role familiarity of working with Access Accounts and cloud based accountancy solutions would be an advantage. You would also have responsibility for liaising with the external accountants.
A working knowledge of Excel is essential and knowledge of Access Database would be helpful.
