Financial Controller - Part Time

We are proud to be partnering with a fast-growing brand in Bristol, who are looking for a Financial Controller on a part time (3 or 4 days per week) basis. This is a key role in the business and the successful candidate will be self-motivated and a proactive individual. You will manage the finance function with one direct report.

The role includes (but is not limited to):

-Preparation of Finance Board pack including monthly management accounts, margin review and variance analysis, rolling 12 month forecast and cashflow

-Analysing monthly operational results; working closely with the manufacturing and supply chain teams to explain purchasing price variances and production performance variances

-Providing working capital reports to the executive directors, highlighting areas of concern and improvement actions

-Supporting the business areas to prepare capex investment appraisals.

-Assisting in reviewing and arranging other treasury functions i.e., FX contracts when appropriate.

-Provide technical accounting guidance to the rest of the finance team.

-Ensure all financial processes are within statutory requirements (expenses, VAT etc)

-Preparation of business forecasts, budgets and cashflows

-Develop business processes, accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

-Lead the implementation of the financial module of the new EpicorTroposERP, including identifying and delivering improvements to maximise the use of the system

We are looking for:

-Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA

-Minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience in a manufacturing or similar operations-based business

-Used an ERP system in a manufacturing environment

-Good technical ability with exceptional financial and commercial acumen

-Understanding of different costing systems

-Previous experience at Financial Controller level and managing teams

-Previous experience of managing an audit

-Previous experience of ERP implementations desirable

-Experience of producing integrated P&L, BS and cashflow forecasts

-Intermediate excel user (including the use of pivot tables, v-lookups, IF formulae, charts)
