This is a varied role that encompasses all aspects of external reporting for the Group and includes IFRS, EEV (embedded value) and other regulatory reporting, together with some involvement in other finance projects. The role will involve taking ownership of the end-to-end process of financial reporting of the Group financial statements and entails calculation, consolidation and preparation of disclosures, and analysis of the data. It also includes elements of process improvements through identifying opportunities to streamline existing processes and leverage on reporting systems,

Applicants should be a qualified Chartered, CIMA or ACCA Accountant with previous experience within a Reporting role. They will;

  • Be comfortable with using complex IT systems and large data volumes;
  • Have a good knowledge of IFRS
  • Be an organised self-starter able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Be familiar with the preparation and consolidation of financial accounts with experience of using complex finance systems
  • Have good attention to detail and the ability to explain complex situations to others.

Experience of EEV and Capital metrics reporting (or other financial services regulatory work) is an advantage, as is Life insurance experience or a knowledge of investment products and markets.

This contract will initially run until end of March 2020.
