We are currently recruiting for a Financial ServicesAccountant for the Lisburnarea. This will be a part-time temporary role, 2.5 days per week , with an hourly rate of£24.12. This vacancy is expected to last until 1stJune 2021.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Tobe responsible for the preparation of the Statutory Financial Statements inaccordance with Departmental and Public Sector Directives, Financial Reportingrequirement and other relevant guidance.
-Tosupport the Head of Finance in ensuring that the Employee Services and AccountsPayable Teams enable and support the Organisation’s service delivery model inline with the with Finance Strategy and business plans.
-Toensure financial policies and procedures are aligned to the legislativecontext, Financial Regulations and best practice.
-Towork with the Head of Finance in formulating financial forecasts and plans toenable service delivery.
-Toensure the effective and efficient delivery of financial support services bydeveloping effective working relationships with key internal and externalstakeholders including heads of departments, other relevant line managers andemployees throughout the organisation, and representative bodies as required.
-Toprovide professional advice and guidance to budget holders throughout theOrganisation.
-Tobe responsible for the effective delivery of the accounts payable function,ensuring compliance with internal policies, legislation and best practice
-Tobe responsible for ensuring the expenditure is incurred and accounted for inaccordance with the Organisation, Departmental and other relevant standards.
-1. Possess a Degree level qualificationin a relevant subject such as Accounting, Business Studies, Finance, Economicsor equivalent
-2.Be a CCAB Qualified Accountant havingsuccessfully completed the professional examinations of one of the following:
- Instituteof Chartered Accountants (ICAEW, ICAI, ICAS)
- CharteredInstitute of Management Accountants
- CharteredAssociation of Certified Accountants
- CharteredInstitute of Public Finance & Accountancy
-3. Have at least 3 years relevantexperience:
-[a] Within a large complex organisation,both multisite and multi-disciplinary
-[b] Of Financial management, includingaccounts payable and payroll functions
-[c] Of managing a group of professionalfinance staff;
-4. Demonstrable experience of:
-[a] Developing financial solutions forcustomers and allocating resources to strategic organisational priorities toensure effective service delivery;
-[b] Using financial information to make asignificant impact on corporate strategic decision making.
-[c] Accounting for Pensions
-5. Can demonstrate:
-[a] Excellent interpersonal andinfluencing skills with a successful track record in developing and maintainingproductive working relationships
-[b] Excellent planning skills and abilityto work under pressure of multiple deadlines
-[c] Delivery of high-quality work withexcellent attention to detail
-6. Possess a current driving licence orhave access to a form of transport that will permit the candidate to meet therequirements of the post in full.
-Experience in Developing InvestmentAppraisals in accordance with the Treasury ‘Green Book’ Guidelines; and
-Post Graduate Diploma in Finance/BusinessStudies.
