Fundraising & Communications Manager - 12 month FTC Full or Part time 30 hours consideredHays Marketing are working exclusively with a charity based in Cambridge who have an exciting opportunity for a maternity fixed-term 12 month contract role to be based in their highly-skilled Fundraising & Communications department, this is a key and pivotal appointment.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Communications, the role will work with colleagues to launch a new strategy and deliver outstanding fundraising, marketing & communications team activity. The post also line manages one team member a Fundraising & Communications Intern.

You will be working within the Fundraising & Communications department of 19 staff, the successful candidate will ultimately help to create extraordinary and wonderful moments in their 45,000 supporters’ lives, co-ordinating integrated appeals, improving supporter experience and bringing their inspirational new strategy to life.

Experience and knowledge:

  • Experience of: fundraising or direct marketing in the charity/not-for-profit sector; project management. Experience of: working with a variety of fundraising income sources; working with a relationship fundraising database, data segmentation and analysis; complex fundraising applications.
  • Experience devising sizeable plans & budgets and reporting against them.
  • Line management experience with proven track record of maximising staff productivity and fulfilment.
  • Experience working in a developing country context and/or knowledge of disability issues.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR.

  • Education/Qualifications/Experience:

  • Education at A level or equivalent.
  • Degree or equivalent in marketing, business or other subject directly relevant to the role.
  • Fundraising or marketing diploma level qualification (eg IoF, CIM, IDM).
