Head of Finance (Part time)
An opportunity to work for a leading charity has arisen and will be an exciting position for an experienced candidate who would love to be involved in this sector. Reporting into the COO, the role will be an integral part of the senior management team you will lead, manage and develop the finance function within the organisation, whilst heading up a small finance team.
Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): Coordinating the work and monitoring workloads of the finance team Budgeting strategy, forecasting and monitoring of performance targets Providing reports and financial information and analysis to the COO, Senior Management team and Board of Trustees Leading on key organisational projects or events as required Working with the COO in providing leadership and direction in line with the strategic plan Attending Board meetings and Finance Committee meetings as required Embedding effective systems and procedures Leading on the preparation of statutory accounts Ensuring that all statutory returns are completed in a timely manner Monitoring and advising on current and future tax and pension legislation Overseeing and working with HR on payroll functions
It is essential that you are a natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills and someone who would genuinely enjoy being part of a 'hands on' organisation.
Skills and experience required: A professional accountancy qualification Experience in leading and developing strategies Experience in setting up accounting systems and used to working on SAGE Experience of auto enrolment, VAT and payroll systems Monitoring and setting budgets Confident in working with complex spreadsheets Highly analytical with an ability to present complex financial information
The company is based in Worcester and is offering a salary of £26,341, based on 28 hours per week (potential flexibility on hours )
