The Role In A Nutshell

We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant in an exciting time of change. Sitting as the Head of the Finance department the role requires requires both support, coaching and leadership of the team and strategic thinking around compliance, forecasting and reporting. This role is perfect for someone looking for the next step in their career on a part time basis.

What Our Team Needs and What You Will Be Doing

Our Finance team is responsible for ensuring timely production of month end reports, tax compliance in global markets, timely payment of goods to our suppliers and everything in between. Striving to constantly improve our processes and embedding our new ERP system into the team is a big part of this role as is a love of numbers, reporting and analysing.   

You will oversee the financial management of the entire business. You will lead in understanding all aspects of Move Dance financials, produce monthly management reports, get to grips with global VAT compliance, own and manage cashflow forecasting and assist in producing year end accounts. You will also have proven management and coaching experience that you can draw on to develop our Finance Assistant, freeing up your time to focus on more strategic work. You will either be CIMA qualified or qualified by experience, have strong all round accounting skills as well as the ability to prioritise workloads and keep to tight deadlines.

You will be responsible for:

  • Production of accurate monthly Profit and Loss with Balance sheet
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
  • Management of global VAT compliance 
  • Management and coaching of Finance Assistant
  • Improvement of processes using Netsuite
  • KPI analysis
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Year end accounting
  • Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance
  • Formulating strategic and long-term business plans with the board of Directors

You will definitely have:

Knowledge and Experience

  • 6+ years experience in a management accounting role 
  • ERP system experience 
  • Proven success in coaching and developing individuals or small teams

Skills and Abilities

  • Analytical
  • Highly numerate with sound technical skills
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise
  • The ability to build strong working relationships across a business
  • Intermediate or advanced skills using Microsoft Office/Google suite

  • CIMA qualification
  • NetSuite experience
  • Exposure to Retail and E-commerce 
  • Global VAT and accounting compliance exposure
  • Driving license due to location

What Move Dance Will Offer You:

  • A permanent contract on a part time basis of 15 - 22.5 hours per week
