We currently have a vacancy for a Housing Officer to join our team in the West of England. We're all working from home right now, but when we do start safely returning to the office, we are happy to explore flexible working options with you.
It's an exciting time for the tenancy management team at Sovereign. We have a Housing Officer Response Team who resolve cases at first point of contact and schedule appointments for our visiting housing offices, using a bespoke software tool to manage our service. They'll be the first port of call for customers with complex queries.
Then it's over to you, using your knowledge and skills to resolve a range of tenancy management challenges, you'll balance your caseload with projects, aimed at keeping our homes and neighbourhoods safe, and making lasting improvements where they're needed.
We're looking for a highly skilled professional with experience of complex anti-social behaviour, safeguarding and estate management. You may not have worked in this way before, but you'll bring with you a commitment to customer service and a solution-focused approach. You'll be supported by your professional colleagues, our clear policies, and your own good knowledge of housing law.
To be successful in this role you will have:
a proven track record in all aspect of tenancy and estate management such as anti-social behaviour
supported vulnerable residents to sustain their tenancies by referring to the right agencies
dealt with tenancy breaches as well as identifying and implementing estate improvement works
experience of prioritising and organising housing cases/risk
the ability to be self-motivated and highly organised
This role will predominantly cover the Bristol area although you may be required to travel throughout the region and therefore having a UK driving licence and access to your own transport is essential as. A DBS check will also be undertaken for the successful candidate.
Please note this role is for 19.5 hours a week. We are flexible on days worked but ideally you will be able to work on Wednesday's.
