HR Advisor - 12 months (part time)

HR AdvisorWitneyMaternity Cover 12 Months25 Hours (10am-3pm)The Burford Recruitment Company are delighted to be working with a well known Witney manufacturer to find an HR Advisor to join their team, helping to support over 100 employees across a number of sites. This is an interesting and varied role assisting in all aspects of the day to day running of the busy HR Department.This 12-month maternity cover assignment is a part-time, 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, working from the office.Role ResponsibilitiesAdvising * Organise/attend Works Council Meetings * Answering HR queries from managers and staff * Attend formal meetings disciplinary/capability etc. * Keep up to date with relevant changes in Employment LawRecruitment * Management of HR Recruitment in box * Assisting with recruitment of personnel including reference checks * Preparing new starter induction packs/delivering induction training * Processing new starters/leavers documentationHR Administration * Ensuring personnel records and other information contained within HR databases are kept up to date * Ensuring Company Policies and Procedures are up to date * Assisting with the administration of employee training and absence records when required * Maintenance of notice board information * General administrative support to HR Manager including filing and archivingPayroll * Assist with payroll process, ensuring information is correct and up to date * Dealing with queries regarding external platforms i.e. payslips, employee benefits etc.EssentialThe successful candidate will have previous experience of working in an HR Advisor or similar role and hold a CIPD qualification. They will have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and be able to engage effectively at all levels. They will be self-motivated with the ability to adapt to fluctuating work demands and multiple priorities, well organised, conscientious and hard-working, with good IT skills and excellent attention to detail.Key Skills * A good understanding of employment law * Able to work as part of a team * Ability to build effective working relationships on all levels throughout the business * Ability to analyse data and create reports * Problem solving * Use initiative * Ability to remain calm under pressure
