I am working with a Stroud based SME who are looking to recruit a stand alone HR Advisor to join their company on a permanent basis. The company have grown considerably in recent years and have approx. 75 employees across two sites in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.

  • Location: Stroud (please not due to location you need a driving license and a car to travel to the location)
  • Salary: up to £30k (pro-rata for part-time hours)
  • Hours: 3 days/week (can potentially offer full-time if you are happy to be involved other general work)

Experience required:

  • CIPD qualification ideally Level 5 or higher
  • Experience in an HR environment, ideally at advisor level
  • Broad understanding of HR
  • Ability to work autonomously


  • The recruitment cycle: Compile job specifications, source candidates, telephone and in person interviews and then hiring and completing induction for new employees. Completed to deadlines.
  • Broad understanding of HR issues with the ability to resolve within a timely and effective manner.
  • Ability to advise managers on a broad range of HR topics including conducting training and support sessions on specific HR processes and topics.
  • Experience of managing formal processes including disciplinaries, grievances, capabilities, redundancies, TUPE, redundancies and sickness management.
  • Support departments with pay queries and case managing queries related to Maternity, Paternity, Long Term Sickness and Flexible working.
  • Undertake Absence Management administrative activities required to support Absence case management, including Welfare Invite & Outcome Letters and related documentation.
