We have a six-month opportunity for a resourceful, engaging HR Advisor to join the team. Although the opportunity is for 6 months, we’ve an interesting and varied HR activity plan, making for a productive development opportunity for you to deliver and be responsible for tangible change within our business. HR Advisor Responsibilities: Partnering Line Managers with understanding, advice and guidance on all matters HR; best practice, policies and procedures, handling any sensitive issues and ensuring cases are managed fairly, consistently and appropriately while upholding Hallmarks values and protecting business interests Understanding the UK Business Strategy, identifying people implications and contributing to HR strategy, people plans, business initiative and projects; Proactively developing your professional knowledge, specifically legislative changes and sharing best practice across the team and wherever possible to upskill and increase the capability for Managers and the wider HR team on advisory and generalist matters; Contribute to the development of HR policies, processes and initiatives in line with strategic direction, ways of working and engagement activities; Provides expertise and leads on required initiatives and/or projects in relation to Organisation Design, Resourcing, Engagement and Development in line with business priorities; Build strong relationships with department managers, developing a good understanding of their business areas, providing insight and guidance on people initiatives and objectives ensuring that they meet the needs of the business; Working with Business Partners and Head of HR to review talent and capability requirements supporting development and roll out of business specific initiatives HR Advisor Requirements: You’ll be joining a small, resourceful and flexible team, offering you the opportunity to developing your skills, learn from experts across multiple disciplines and recognised for the value your skills add to every Hallmarkers working day. To be successful we're looking for you to be: Have strong ER and case management experience, within a HR team in a fast paced multi-faceted role, ideally Degree level or equivalent or CIPD qualified Experience of supporting or delivering change initiatives and projects would be a significant advantage Ability to make timely decisions and deal with ambiguity; Have strong Employment Law knowledge and be committed to continuous professional development through multiple channels Strong people, organisational and communication skills, alongside a confidence to lead a group through a complex challenge A team player, resourceful and a keen eye for creating efficiencies through the use of technology, process and procedures Experience or keen interest in a technical HR specialism such as reward, organisational design etc would be a significant advantage is preferred About Hallmark Cards Plc: Here at Hallmark, we play a unique role in expressing friendship, family and love.
