Our client is seeking an experienced individual to join their established organisation as HR Advisor. The UK side of the business employs 700 employees over 39 locations and as a Group employ 8,000 employees over 250 locations in 9 countries in Europe and North America. This is a 6-month contract working 21 hours per week. Hours can be across 3, 4 or 5 days in the week however is essential that hours are worked on a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The salary pro rata will likely be £17,000 for 21 hours each week. Key Accountabilities * Coaching, challenging, and assisting Line Managers in the understanding and implementation of policies such as performance management, absence management, disciplinary and grievance. * Interpreting and advising on employment legislation. * Proactively encouraging and coaching Line Managers to address absence and performance issues. * Supporting Line Managers in the recruitment of staff - this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing advertisements, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing, and selecting candidates. * Liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy development such as staff performance and health and safety. * Completing administration tasks such as meeting notes and procedure outcome letters. * Working with the SHE Department to ensure Occupational Health cases are managed appropriately and offering Line Managers guidance on addressing complex absence cases. * Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits. * Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation. Experience, Education & Qualifications * Experience of working in a similar role * CIPD qualified or willing to work towards a CIPD qualification is beneficial * Excellent IT literacy with high proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel * Excellent communication and influencing skills * Can demonstrate good attention to detail * Excellent IT literacy with high proficiency in Excel and Database Application * Be prepared to challenge the status quo * Excellent administration and organisational skills * Team Player * Work on own initiative * Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines * High levels of drive and flexibility Please bear in mind that you may not hear from us straight away.
