Double-check you have the necessary skills before sending an application.- 14 hours a week flexible on hours worked Function: The HR Manager role provides support across the different business functions and to different levels of management.The HR Manager provides support to executives and non-executives within the business on a wide range of activities.He/she needs to be able to demonstrate a good level of business knowledge to be able to collaborate with internal stakeholders on a range of requirements; from supporting senior management and compliance, to meetings and personnel matters.The HR Manager is accountable to the CEO, but can also act on the direction of and on behalf of the CEO for any arising business matters.Duties: HR Strategy: The HR Manager will assist the recruitment strategy by building a recruitment plan for managers, and develop a one-page interview sheet to accommodate core selected questions with both competence and values assessment.Undertake a review of Employee contracts and Employee Handbook, in partnership with HR advice service provider Review all core people policies with HR advice service provider (Disciplinary/Grievance/Anti-Harassment/Diversity etc).Ensure the SMT know where to access these on the people management system.Review the Onboarding and Probation approach Maintain oversight of quarterly performance reviews to ensure these are taking place with staff.Work with line managers to ensure each employee has an up-to-date job description and a development plan in place.Work with the Heads of Function to ensure the Performance Review process links directly to the Reward strategy.Oversight of the Udemy platform, ensuring access is provided to staff and ensuring all teams have a development programme in place.Identify the key competencies required to drive effective people management and propose a development programme to senior management.HR Process Oversight: The HR Manager will have oversight of the onboarding and offboarding of staff, by ensuring activities are conducted line with the agreed process.Ensure that probation paperwork is completed and filed in line with the agreed process.Oversight of day-to-day people management.Oversight of the employee benefits online portal.Oversight of the HR system Oversight of the relationship with the company's outsourced HR advice service.Work with the Executive Assistant on any HR issues or matters arising.Health and Safety Oversight The HR Manager will have oversight of the log of all health and safety tasks, the descriptions of what is required, the owners within the business, and due dates.The HR Manager will be the point of escalation with any overdue health and safety tasks.Oversight of the design and implementation of health and safety policies.Support the Executive Assistant with employee engagement with the implementation of any new policies or policy changes.Support the Executive Assistant to ensure the business complies with any government legislation or guidance on safe working during a pandemic.
