We are passionate about our staff being our most powerful and valued asset and create a culture where people are encouraged to succeed, develop, and thrive.Key Responsibilities will include:Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systemsCollaborating with other managers in the business, to ensure the smooth running of the company from a people perspective.Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads, liaising with recruitment agencies, and managing the hiring processAdministration of employee-related paperwork, such as employment contracts, new starter packs, or formal notices of termination.Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirementsOversee overtime policies and pension administrationCreate and implement effective onboarding plansLeading new starter company inductionsManaging talent pools and succession plans to ensure the company can continue to operate in the future.Develop training and development programsAssist in performance management processesProvide guidance on policies and proceduresSupport the management of disciplinary and grievance issuesReview employment and working conditions to ensure legal complianceHandling employment relations issues such as grievances and employee welfareOverseeing staff attendance and absence monitoringProviding detailed HR reports to senior management teamsHandling highly confidential information in an honest and trustworthy wayIf you are right for this demanding and challenging role then you will:Have the following personal skills and attributes:An upbeat, proactive and positive person - a "can do" attitude with the ability to use your own initiative is essentialTact and discretion, for dealing with confidential informationA willingness to help - a strong work ethic, loyalty and commitmentA calm, polite and professional mannerExcellent attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritise, multi-task and manage projectsExcellent time management and the ability to work to deadlinesHighly organised approach and commitment to closing and completing tasksAnd you will have the following experience:At least 5 years' experience working in HRDemonstrable and proven experience as a HR Administrator/ManagerDemonstrable and proven experience of prioritising tasks to meet the changing needs of the businessEvidence of where you've made process improvements within an office environmentEvidence of how you liaise and communicate with a wide range of people at all levels and with a high level of diplomacy, confidentiality and professionalismEngaging others within a company to ensure that "things get done" - getting the job done and seeing it through to the endAdvanced IT and keyboard skills and knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and effective use of the internetYou'll understand the challenges of working in a small but rapidly growing company environmentPart time - 25hrs per week / 5 days per week (flexible hours)£45,000 (Pro-rata)Please apply with a CV.By applying for this role, your details will be sent to Ortolan People, who are acting as consultants for the hiring company.
