A fast growing management consulting firm has an opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to join their team. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (who is intelligent, down to earth and has a great sense of humour), this is a newly created role to streamline and structure an internal legal function.

With 9 offices across the globe, 130 top tier clients, and over 350 staff, the organisation has carved out a strong niche for providing management consulting services. To date, each location has organised its legal work directly, using a variety of legal experts / external legal firms.

The purpose of this new position is to perform the following duties:

- NDAs: maintaining a comprehensive record of NDAs globally, and ensuring that new NDAs signed  are acceptable.

- MSAs/T&Cs: maintain a comprehensive record of T&Cs/MSAs globally, assisting the CCO in negotiation new agreements with clients, and undertaking a review to asses the acceptability of existing MSAs.

- Trademarks - liaising with appointed Trademark lawyers to ensure trademarks are effectively established and maintained globally.

- Contractor Contracts; assisting with any required negotiation and structuring of bespoke agreements.

- In conjunction with relevant sponsors, ensuring that all Supplier Agreements are effectively logged and maintained, and reviewed for acceptability (eg. infrastructure, recruitment agencies, consulting firms etc).

- In conjunction with HR, ensure that all employee contracts are appropriately structured by region (liaising with specialist external contract legal assistance), assist HR as required with the drafting and finalisation of settlement agreements, and support the visa process in conjunction with appointed immigration lawyer for intercompany transfers.

- In conjunction with Finance / CFO, provide company secretary support, eg companies house support and filings, new corporate formation globally, local regulation input, etc.

As this is a newly created role, the successful candidate will need to havea  penchant for organising, liaising with multiple stakeholders and be able to influence these stakeholders to provide relevant information. You must be the kind of person who is happy to roll up the sleeves and pitch in, and also speak up with ideas on how things may be improved.

In return, you will be working for a terrific team and have the following benefits:

- a generous base salary (negotiable based on successful candidate)
- travel expenses
- Mobile phone allowance
- Your choice of laptop
- Sponsorship towards professional certifications
- Be part of a growing business - so as the business grows there is a real opportunity for you to grow with it!
