Insurance Accountant - Part time flexible to suit

Salary: Depending on experience

Location: Weston-super-Mare or Home based (initially having a presence in the office)

The Company:

Our client is an insurance broker who are looking to bring on new insurance providers and partners and have a requirement for a part time insurance accountant.

The company can be flexible around working hours but will ideally need two weeks of hours a month completed. This can be working from home or from the office in Weston-Super-Mare.

The Role:

  • Ensuring direct debits are correctly processes and reconciled, tax is distributed to the inland revenue
  • Monthly return to the insurers, collating information and ensuring everything is in place from the monthly direct debits, monthly reconciliation, Insurance Premium Tax, that suppliers and insurers are etc
  • Using Excel spread sheets and pivot tables and using Sage

The Required Skills:

  • Cass rules and client money
  • Pivot tables and Excel - Essential
  • Coming from a financial services or insurance background
