As a member of the Select community, you will be eligible to undertake interim assignments for Grant Thornton's Special Projects team - working on site for our clients, within their finance functions, to deliver finance and accounting projects. These projects are bespoke and very varied, broadly including:

  • Business accounting services (management, financial and statutory)
  • Report design and implementation
  • Systems review and improvement
  • Project accounting
  • Interim financial support
  • Financial modelling and forecasting

  • You’ll be able to demonstrate a range of practical, hands-on accounting experience in a variety of roles and sectors
  • You’ll be up to date on financial reporting standards and possess strong technical skills, the broader the better
  • Familiar with accountancy software (eg SAGE, SAP, Oracle, Pegasus, Navision, Xero)
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)

  • You’ll enjoy connecting with clients and be able to fit in with a client team quickly.
  • Agile and adaptable, you enjoy getting to the root of the problem quickly
  • Ownership, planning and project management skills
  • An excellent communicator and collaborator in the teams you work in and with clients 
  • Ability to support and mentor others on site

We engage community members on a self-employed, interim basis so you can choose when you are available for an assignment

Through our community hub, the Select network provides access to technical training resources, support from Grant Thornton staff, event invitations and the chance to connect with other professional interim accountants
