About the role

The Investment Analyst is a project-driven, results-oriented role within the Markets and Portfolio Management team. In this role, you will be part of the Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) Coordination team and directly engage with all of Phoenix Asset Management.

The BPA Coordination team is responsible for:

  • Coordination of the BPA Transaction Process – delivery of multi-asset portfolio solutions to the BPA transactions process.

  • Production of Senior Strategic Management Information – design of highly impactful MI for Asset Management senior management in a clear and will organised format.

  • Delivery of Strategic Workstreams – drive forward strategic solutions as it relates to Asset Management strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • BPA Coordination – support the coordination of the BPA transaction process and drive the delivery of relevant portfolio solutions across asset classes.

  • Management Information – design the relevant MI for senior management and implement the process on MI production.

  • Strategic Initiatives – use a project-driven approach in engaging with Internal and External stakeholders in the delivery of the role’s accountabilities.


  • Be a Strong Formulator – act as an investment resource for content creation including custom presentations and analysis.

  • Be Able to Apply a Project Management Approach – independently use data gathered from a variety of sources (internal and external) to create customised analysis in response to senior management enquiries in a time sensitive environment.

  • Develop Strong Relationships – highly capable of developing effective relationships and collaborating across a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Become a Subject Matter Expert – develop and maintain knowledge, necessary to act as a subject matter expect.  To that extent, understand how investment strategy is developed, executed and applied to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Be Curious – be an individual with a passion for and experience within investment management.


  • Prior experience in Investment Management

  • Knowledge of efficiency of assets under Solvency II balance sheet framework

  • Awareness of asset management markets and trends.
