What we are looking for:
Are you looking for a part-time role in IT? We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our growing business in Bristol.
Supporting the wider IT Team in Europe, you will provide first and occasionally second line technical support in the Bristol office. You will be the driving force behind our IT service desk team, ensuring excellent customer service by resolving technical issues promptly. You will report into the Head of IT Infrastructure, with a dotted line into the Head of Operations in the Bristol office.
To minimise the impact on business operation, you will be responsible for managing all IT queries to restore normal operational service promptly. You will be the face of the IT department on-site in Bristol and will need excellent communication skills to maintain relations whilst also working closely with the rest of the team who are based in Europe.
You will provide support to all employees and contractors in the UK and may occasionally be required to travel to other sites within the UK and Europe for courses, training, and team meetings.
What qualitifications should you have?
The ideal candidate will be used to working in a fast-paced, agile environment. They must also be used to multi-tasking, prioritise their workload, and be able to deliver a world-class service in often demanding circumstances.
The main duties and responsibilities include:
Actively work with other departments to optimize efficiency
Incident Management and escalations.
Constant communication with key stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Take ownership and responsibility of user problems and be proactive when dealing with users of all levels.
Monitoring and routine systems administration tasks.
General network administrative tasks for example setting up printer’s, new starter setup etc.
Assess the infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demands
Ensure security of data, network access and back-up systems
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in a timely manner
Manage daily IT operations and be 1st line support
You will also be required to support in the following areas:
Test requirements from an IT perspective
Manage and support user testing
Manage and support go live of new projects
Manage small changes as directed
Support Project Managers and others in the team when required
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in first line support and will ideally have a degree in a relevant subject.
